Staffing and Recruitment

March 04, 2008

Staffing, Recruitment and Placement professionals are often viewed as the most visible and important part of human resources. This is because staffing is the first entry point of prospective employees to the company. Recruitment professionals are responsible for the staffing strategy for the organization or the company, the sourcing of candidates, screening and preliminary interviewing of candidates, conducting background checks and communicating decisions and compensation information. In larger companies, workforce planning which includes the projection of skills and attributes that will be required in the future, based on the business strategy and current demographics of the work force today, may be an integral part of a Staffing or Recruitment professional’s job.
