I'm looking forward to my upcoming business trip to Hawaii for 2 weeks where I'll be assisting in the recruiting efforts of our newest timeshare/hotel property opening this December 2008. The property is called the "Grand Waikikian" located within Hilton Hawaiian Village on the island of Oahu.

My colleagues and I successfully held our first Community Outreach Networking event at our beautiful resort located on the World Famous Las Vegas Strip! Our Senior Director of Human Resources, Wayne Romanowski made this comment to our group after today's event:
"Please accept my thanks and congratulations to the Las Vegas Talent Acquisition team for pulling together and coordinating our first Community Outreach program this morning.
Our goal in putting this together was to build/enhance our partnerships with potential “influencers” at various community organizations so when they are working with individuals that they are attempting to counsel or guide towards employment, HGV is their first consideration. You each did an outstanding job in targeting and inviting the appropriate community reps, coordinating the breakfast and property tour and participating in the presentation which highlighted HGV, our culture and the opportunities we have available throughout the Las Vegas region. And, even this is just the first step for us as we create these long term relationships within our community, based on the reaction and lively discussion that followed our presentation, I am confident we laid a solid foundation for these relationships to grow. Long term, our goal will be to expand both the depth and number of these “contacts” so that we can significantly reduce the amount of time needed to recruit. I just wanted to offer my kudos on a job well done. Way to go Talent Acquisition Team and thank you."
