A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

.A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and grey when you throw it away ?

Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday?

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!

I'm guessing... the room with lions, because they'd be dead after three years.

Is the woman a photographer by chance?

I had to look the third one up in Google even though it is completely obvious in hindsight.

As for the paragraph, hmm....

I say the lions, but I have to admit, I'm not as quick as some.  I thought that the lions would kill one another trying to get to the food.  Quite obviously, they would be dead.  The second, I'm thinking that they were in a play.  I forget what the next question was, I'll have to go back.  Too many late nights!

Ok, I admit that the next one has me stumped.  It seems that I should know it, but don't.  The first thing I think of is a newspaper.  As for the three days, I've heard that one before, but can't remember now.  I think it's that you can say any other three in a row, such as Saturday, Sunday or Monday, because you haven't said the words Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday.  As for the last one, I think maybe what is so unusual about it is that it gets you to read it over and over with searching depth.  I could be wrong.  I can't wait for the answers!

GOOD JOB!  Some of you CHEATED and googled the answers - but you were at least resourceful!

Hope you enjoyed!

Answers:

1. The third room. Lions that haven't eaten in three years are dead. That one was easy, right?

2. The woman was a photographer. She shot a picture of her husband, developed it, and hung it up to dry (shot; held under water; and hung).

3. Charcoal, as it is used in barbecuing.

4. Sure you can name three consecutive days, yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

5. The letter e, which is the most common letter used in the English language, does not appear even once in the paragraph.

I have an easy riddle for you.  A man was driving down the road in a station wagon that had a coffin in the back.  A policeman pulled him over and asked him who was in the coffin.  The man replied, "brothers and sisters I have none.  This man's father is my father's son."  Who was in the coffin?

Do you know, as easy as that is, most people don't get it?  The most common answer I get, believe it or not, is it's his grandfather or his uncle.  UNCLE???  Well done.  I should've known you'd get it, you do much harder stuff than this.  I wrote down the other riddle that you posted, but have been up to my ears in it the last week and will be for a few more, so I haven't had time to "play"!  But how can you complain when you're working?  Too many others aren't, and at least I'm my own boss.
