Posted 2 months ago Hello out there, I am working at a company that is not very stable as a HR Specialist in a temporary assignment. This company has a lot of financial, managerial and hr issues. Although I am getting some great exposure into a new field, is it worth it to continue waiting on my turn to be let go or do I taka a chance and venture out into a new start somewhere else. |

| Posted 2 months ago I would start your career search now, and once you find a better situation you can leave on your terms. If your current job is shaky at best, don't wait for them to end it on their terms. |

| Posted 2 months ago It is always wise to keep your career development moving. You may wish to try some of the quizzes on this site to find out if there are areas which may work for you but ones which you may not have considered. I would not put all of my hopes in one place. You may wish to investigate other areas in your organization where you are working to see if there are any longer term prospects and contact someone there to see if they would be interested in your credentials. If you are not being considered for some of those opportunities, perhaps there is something they are looking for which you do not currently have and can work on. These opportunities may also require areas which you have, but no one knows you have. Would you be able to say a little more about the opportunities - are they open to you or only to permanent staff. It is important to promote yourself and see whether there is someone out there who could use your talents. Having said that, I truly believe you should always be keeping your eyes and ears open for opportunites which may be a good match for what you are seeking. Hope this helps. |

| Posted 2 months ago Get involved in as much as you can where you are at. Troubled places breed great experience and often you'll be able to do more things than being in a great place for several years. But, hedge you bet and keep your search going. That way, you have the option to leave on your own terms or stay a bit longer if something interesting can be tackled. Todd |
