Hi Everyone,

I am looking to change careers, out of fast food and into something slower (no timers).  I have a good deal of HR experiance in training, hiring and some HR paper work.  My question is "Are there postions out there that I can succeed in even though I might not have the formal training that others have gotten through schooling.  I have an understand of the major law.  Could someone get back to me with some stories and tips to get an HR career going

There are a few resources on the site that can help you.

First, try the 10 step guide to getting into HR:

There are also stories from real people on how they broke into HR:

I hope this helps and good luck!

their is always a chances to get hired in other fields. "remind yourself what did it take for you to get the job you had before.

you have to use those same format but "do it little different" "make them think that you have what it takes to get a head of them.

it's all in the mind and the way you express your self while doing it.

good luck!  no one never taught me but i learned myself and now i find myself teaching and telling others!
