| Posted 2 months ago Well, first off I would recommend you have good lists of Knowledges, Skills, Ability, and other characteristics for the position. There is no valid set way to right competencies. Personally, I like to take the knowledges, skills, and abilities and find ways to combine them to wright a competency. Always get your lists approved by subject matter experts in your organization or consult with someone in the field. An few examples: Effectively maintains mainframe through use of remote administration. Actively monitors system status as to effectively prevent possible malfunctions. Always use good action verbs to write these, and the use of adverbs makes them a little clearer (or sounds more elegant). take your pick on that. I was an IT guru before going into HR and getting my master's in I/O Psych. If you needed this asap I wouldn't mind a consulting project or two while the job market is down.
