Posted about 1 month ago What's your company's policy on celebrating birthdays? All companies are different so it would be fun to hear what you guys do. And how do you feel about those generic office parties, really?

| Posted about 1 month ago Our office doesn't really do a whole lot. Whoever is having the birthday brings in a "treat" for the office if they want to and usually a card goes around as well. The "treat" is put into the kitchen and people just help themselves throughout the day. I am trying to come up with something to bring for mine tomorrow, but my office is holding a biggest loser competition right now so I'm trying to think of something healthier... |

| Posted about 1 month ago I personally don't like being in the center of attention so I took my birthday out of the HR system. But wheneve someone has a birthday, a cake is brought in to be shared among those that work with the individual - not the office as a whole. |

| Posted about 1 month ago We use to pick a day once a month and provided lunch for all the employees in honor of those who had a birthday that month. We sent an email listing the employees celebrating a birthday and what we were having for lunch. When we had to cut back on our budget - we started giving everyone a bucket of popcorn with a $10.00 Blockbuster Gift Card inside of it......that seemed to go over bigger than the luncheon.
